Our verdict
Absolute Zero is a forgotten sci-fi action game that deserves a look.
Absolute Zero is a sci-fi action game from Domark set on Jupiter’s frozen moon Europa in the 24th century. Miners have accidentally awakened a long-buried alien race, which slaughters them and destroys the colony’s capital. You must defend what’s left and fight back.
Gameplay
The game combines action with strategy:
- Multiple characters: Play different roles within the colony.
- Combat: Fight the aliens in vehicles and craft.
- Defence: Protect what remains of the colony.
Its story and characters give it more personality than many action games of its era.
Verdict
Absolute Zero is an ambitious sci-fi action game with an interesting setting. It’s uneven in places, but its mix of story and action is engaging.
The Good
- Interesting sci-fi setting
- Story and characters add personality
