Our verdict
A-10 Cuba! is a worthwhile sim for A-10 fans and players who value realistic flying.
A-10 Cuba! is a flight simulator from Parsoft Interactive, published by Activision in 1996. It’s the sequel to the Mac-only A-10 Attack! and puts you in an A-10 Thunderbolt II fighting guerrilla forces around Guantánamo Bay.
Gameplay
The game focuses on ground attack missions:
- A-10 Thunderbolt II: Fly the famous “Warthog” ground-attack aircraft.
- Missions: Defend the airbase and destroy ships, bridges, tanks and other targets.
- Realistic flight model: Parsoft’s sims were known for their convincing flight physics.
It has a reputation among flight sim fans for its realistic handling.
Verdict
A-10 Cuba! is a solid, realistic flight sim with a narrow focus. Its limited setting and mission variety hold it back, but its flight model is excellent.
